MOON CAKE
Experience tradition and discover the magic and unique flavour of our Moon Cakes: consumed on Chinese tables during the Mid-Autumn Festival, these little cakes have a fascinating, centuries-old and at times mythological history behind them.
But legends aside, moon cakes are exquisite round cakes made with wheat flour and rice syrup, with various fillings: some are more traditional, based on red beans (anko), lotus, or lotus seeds. Some variations, however, include fillings of dried fruit, hazelnuts, green tea, or caramel. Furthermore, there are moon cakes that even contain a hard-boiled egg, a symbol of good luck and good fortune.
